We ask that you please arrive 30 minutes before the Ferry is scheduled to depart. Ferry transit time is approximately 45 minutes.

Once in the parking lot, head toward Broad Creek on the wooden pier. Our check in office is a floating building at the end of the wooden pier to the left. It’s a white building with a blue roof and says Island Head on the side. Check in here 30 minutes before your departure time!
Golf Cart Rental
We deal exclusively with, and only recommend, Daufuskie Difference Golf Cart rentals based upon their years of experience and reliable customer service. A golf cart reservation guarantees your cart to be available at Freeport Marina when coming off the ferry. *This is the only golf cart rental service at Freeport Marina where the Island Head ferry drops you off, and other companies are not permitted to drop off or operate business on the property.
A valid driver’s license is required to rent a golf cart.
